CCCi has an opportunity for an Application Development Support Analyst to work with our local Energy client here in Charlotte. Client is only looking for local candidates and previous Energy client experience here in Charlotte is preferred. This position is for Application Support (80%) and Development (20%) of Nuclear Business (departmental) applications, on a team of 6-10 support analysts. Responsibilities include; Maintains and troubleshoots production environment. Understands impact of issues in the business environment, and resolves problems quickly. Candidate will coordinate upgrades and maintenance on supported applications/infrastructure. Will be responsible for full life cycle support of production applications and application modifications, including planning, estimating, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, modifying, upgrading, enhancing, documenting, and retiring. Candidates will participate on new application development projects as needed. Will work directly with the application clients and management in application troubleshooting and in enhancement requirements analysis. Will coordinate and implement production changes through operations groups using SDLC processes and tools. Will be directly responsible for specifically assigned applications (approx 15 to 25), including making recommendations to improve application health, to increase application usability, and to reduce application support costs. Must be able to creatively and effectively combine problem-solving skills, experience, and tools to quickly determine problem causes and solutions. Will prioritize and perform a variety of assigned tasks. Will accept project deliverables and knowledge to be able to provide ongoing support and maintain application support documentation. Candidate will follow standard IT processes and IT procedures for managing change, managing code, scheduling code in standard tools (eg SDLC, ITG, PICCASO, Changeman, etc).
Client requires 3-5 years of experience and candidates MUST have experience with XML, .Net/C#, MSRS, SQL Server 2008, Visual Source Safe or ChangeManDS, VB6, ETL products, including SSIS and Informatica. Desired skills are experience working for large companies with 10,000+ employees. Will work on a rotating on call shift and a pager will be provided.
